Person-centred Counselling

I’m a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and a registered member of the BACP.

Life is full of change, and while change is natural, it can sometimes feel overwhelming, leading to anxiety, uncertainty, or helplessness. I believe we all carry inner resources and strengths that can help us build resilience and cope with life’s challenges. With the right support and a safe, trusting relationship, positive change is always possible.

Coming to counselling can feel like a big step. Talking to someone outside of your circle of family and friends can make space for new perspectives and growth. By working together, at your pace, we can explore what’s troubling you and find ways forward that feel right for you.

Type of Therapy offered

Person-centred

Approach

I offer a calm, supportive, and empathic environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings safely. My approach is collaborative — I won’t tell you what to do, but will work alongside you, helping you to feel more empowered and confident in using your own strengths.

If it feels helpful, we can also use creative techniques to explore what’s going on for you in different ways.

Who I work with

I offer counselling for adults, young people and children. Before working as a counsellor, I worked in education for fifteen years. As a counsellor, I have experience working in a High School, for a charity, and in my private practice. Other areas of professional interest include working with neurodiversity. I also have experience and training in supporting anxiety, loss and bereavement, trauma and relationship issues.

I offer a free fifteen-minute chat for us both to see if counselling together feels right.

Further information

I have a lived experience as a mum within a neurodivergent family. I hope to use my life experience to help others to find their inner resources.

Appointments are flexible and available on Mondays and Thursdays.
